New Courses and other news

Sport and Recreation Closed

from 15 July until further notice

As required by the Hong Kong Government due to COVID-19 all Sport Recreation at the Club is now suspended. This includes training courses, team coaching and craft hire.

Students already enrolled for courses effected will be contacted by email with more information.

Autumn Schedule online

The Autumn schedule is online and open for booking. We have additional Junior and Youth Courses scheduled for October to align with the school half term holidays. Check out the schedule on our online booking system.

Cooking Course at Middle Island

New for summer 2020. On Tuesday mornings and Thursday afternoons Middle Island Head Chef will offer a cooking course for Adults/Guardians. Click on the picture for more information.

Another issue of our newsletter for all things ABC Middle Island has just been published. This one is all about the summer!

Dinghy Cruiser Challenge

On Saturday 23rd May the Dinghy and Cruiser sailors competed against each other in a Match Racing Format competition using the Laser 2000 dinghies. 

After 16 match races the dinghy team of John Berry and Sam Cheng took the overall win.

Summer Camps with Hong Kong Country Club

In a new inter-club partnership ABC members are invited to join the Summer Camps being organised by the Hong Kong Country Club. These could be of particular interest for those of our members who are not yet 7yrs old so unable to join our sailing programmes.

Tong Po Chau Dinghy Racing

We had a great turnout of 17 dinghies on the 8th March for the Tong Po Chau Spring Series races. Three races were completed. Results online via the link below. Next race day is 17 May.

Pre-race briefing by Richard Knight will be on the topic of 'Starting'. This will take place from 1045 - 1130 hrs. Please take the 1030am ferry to Middle Island if you wish to join. 


Kayaks at Middle Island

With the new Kayaks recently arrived at Middle Island we now have 13 Kayaks available for hire. The charge is $40/half day. Remember to bring along your ABC membership card when hiring any Kayak or other craft. 

Hiring is available Tuesday to Sunday. For weekday hiring please book 24 hours in advance so that we can make arrangements. You can book by emailing sailingsecretary@abclubhk.com
